- Technology - I maintain a passion for technology and technical innovation and strive to keep a wide view of where the field is going.
- Martial arts - 25 years studying a variety of martial arts, primarily Japanese and some Chinese styles. I have focused on aikido since 1993. Currently a Fukushidoin (Approved Instructor) at Aikido Renmei, Prague, CZ
- Gardening
- Art and Architecture
- Building design and renovation - Currently reconstructing a 150 year old farm house 100 km north of Prague, Czech Republic
- Carpentry and woodworking, metalworking, tool-making and blacksmithing
- Riding on my new 300 Vespa scooter and renovating my vintage 1984 Westfalia VW camper bus
- Alternative energy, bio-methane systems, wind generation, solar power
- Travel - Extensive experience working and traveling across Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Europe, Russia, Japan, North America
- Emerging Markets - Particularly Eastern Europe and Russia
- Reading - I read a lot, about all of the above, plus management, global strategy. politics and business
